Biography - Peter James Killeen
Peter Killeen, a former Police Officer, as well as a former Franciscan Friar, has a fascinating educational background.
He holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD and a Master's in Theological Studies from the Washington Theological Union, Washington, DC. He is a nationally recognized stress management therapist, a nationally certified alcohol and drug counselor. He is founder and President of Killeen-Lyden Associates, Inc., a corporation specializing in the development of company-based Employee Assistance Programs.
Killeen played a vital role on September 11th, (see article), working directly with police officers, who suffered a loss of thirty-seven officers when the towers collapsed.
Currently, Killeen serves as a consultant with police unions as a stress specialist. He also consults with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in Washington, DC. He is qualified to provide expert testimony for the federal court system on issues involving law enforcement and alcohol and substance abuse issues.
Killeen has published numerous articles in noted law enforcement journals. His eclectic background in both healthcare and a law enforcement field makes him a much sought after talk show host. He has been interviewed on many radio and television programs, including Court TV's "Crier Today", LETN (Law Enforcement Television Network),CNBC-TV, WOR Radio 710AM and NPR.
